Child & youth therapy
Our children are the most precious thing in our lives. When they suffer, we as parents also feel the pain. In certain life situations, it may become necessary to seek therapeutic help for children and adolescents. At such times, it is valuable to have external support to help our children.
The importance of therapy for children and adolescents
Children face different psychosocial challenges depending on their stage of development. Stressful and difficult life circumstances can intensify these challenges.
Our children are the most precious thing in our lives. When they suffer, we as parents also feel the pain. In certain life situations it can become necessary to seek therapeutic help for children and adolescents. At such times, it is valuable to have external support to help our children.
Play often serves as an important means of expression through which children can communicate their feelings and visualise their inner pain. In adolescence, it is often crucial questions such as ‘Who am I?’, “Who do I want to be?” and “What career do I want to pursue?” are at the forefront. This phase can be challenging as it often leads to questioning one's own identity and perception. Stresses and strains in the circle of friends, in the family or at school can can make this development process even more difficult and cause emotional challenges.
In my psychotherapeutic work, I see myself as an emotional counsellor for the children and as a counselling coach for the parents. My aim is to understand the symbolic language of children and to meet them in this way. By building a trusting relationship and using creative methods, we create methods, we create space together for the children's feelings and concerns.
I will accompany you and your child through this phase of change. Together we can build stability, discover new resources and look for solutions. I look forward to this, to work with you to find the right support for your child.
